Start of construction of No2 DAP - Vinachem Fertilizer plant
Morning 26-12, at Tang Loong Industrial Zone, Bao Thang District, Lao Cai province, DAP No 2 Joint Stock Company - VINACHEM has started construction of Diamon phosphate fertilizer (DAP) Plant, capacity 330,000 tons / year.
Invested by DAP No 2 Joint Stock Company - VINACHEM, No2 DAP - Vinachem Fertilizer plant is built on more than 73 ha of land, including three workshops, and the main raw material is Lao Cai apatite ore with total investment being more than 250 million USD. EPC bidding packages worth approximately 189 million USD, being carried out by consortium TTCL-MES-TVC-CECO-VINAINCON as contractors.
The production stages of the plant are applied the famous licence technology such as sulfuric acid production technology of MECS - U.S. ; phosphoric acid production technology of Prayon / SNC - Lavalin - Belgium ; DAP production technology of INCRO - Spain . The Plant will be completed and put into operation after 28 months.
The project will create jobs for thousands of workers in the construction period and more than 600 employees in the operation phase. Annual industrial output value when the plant going stable production is more than 3,500 billion VND.
This is the second DAP plant of Vinachem in Vietnam, using Lao Cai apatite. The two plants help increasing of domestic DAP fertilizer output up to 660,000 tpy, basically meeting market demand, ensuring national food safety and effectively using natural resources.
