LINCOLN Electric has released theFlextec 450, a global multi-process welding power source suited forfabrication, construction, automotive, and production tasks.

TheFlextec 450 features LINCOLN Electric’s Flexible Technology which delivers up to 500A of welding power. The inverter technology is said to deliver faster arc response and lower power consumption.

According to LINCOLN Electric, theFlextec 450 has multi-process capability, including stick, Touch Start DC TIG, MIG and flux-cored welding, as well as arc gouging with up to a 9.5mm carbon.

TheFlextec 450 includes a compact, durable case that is IP23 rated. It can be used in extreme temperatures up to 55ºC.

The unit features variable arc force, allowing an operator to dial in the “soft” or “crisp” arc characteristics required for a specific application. A crisper arc is used to increase penetration or reduce electrode sticking on some applications.
