On December 25, 2025, in Da Nang city, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company solemnly organized the 50th Anniversary of its Establishment (Dec 25, 1975 – Dec 25, 2025).
Attending the Ceremony were Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee; Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem); Mr. Nguyen Tuan Dung, Deputy General Director of Vinachem, along with leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, departments, agencies of Da Nang city and a large number of officials and employees of the Company throughout various periods.

Formed in hardship, persistently rising to affirm the brand

Looking back at the 50-year journey of construction and development, DRC was born in the context of a country just out of war, with poor facilities and extremely limited resources. On December 11, 1975, the General Department of Chemicals decided to establish the Da Nang Rubber Factory; by December 25, 1975, the Factory organized an establishment announcement ceremony, officially marking the birth of the predecessor of today's Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company.

Starting from a retreading workshop that was taken over, with a total asset value of about 693,000 VND, a workforce of 5 demobilized soldiers, 41 old workers, and 7 union officials taking over, the Factory collective chose the path of self-reliance and self-improvement to restore production. Only 10 days after establishment, the first 52 retreaded tires were born – a milestone starting the rubber industry in the Central region.

On the foundation of solidarity, efforts to overcome difficulties, and the "relying on oneself" mindset, the Da Nang Rubber Factory step by step overcame challenging periods of the economy, from inflation and natural disasters to times of depleted finances and difficult lives for workers.

Entering the innovation period, the Company boldly invested in modern production lines, launching many high-quality tire product lines, especially OTR (Off-the-Road) tires serving the mining industry. In 2005, DRC successfully converted to a joint-stock company model, becoming a public company. On December 29, 2006, DRC shares were officially listed on the stock market, marking an important turning point in the development journey.

With persistent efforts, the Company has been recognized by the Party and the State with many noble awards such as Labor Orders of various classes, Third-class Independence Order along with many Emulation Flags from the Prime Minister. In particular, in 1985, Director Phan Trung Thu was awarded the title of Labor Hero, marking a typical development period of the unit.

Promoting tradition, aiming towards green and sustainable development

Speaking at the Anniversary, Mr. Le Hoang Khanh Nhut, Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company emphasized that the 50-year journey of DRC has been one of continuous growth, from a young factory to becoming Vietnam's leading manufacturer of tires and tubes, contributing positively to the general development of the Vietnam National Chemical Group and the country.

According to the General Director of DRC, the achievements were due to the close attention and direction of the Group's leadership through various periods; the support and favorable conditions created by the local government; along with the companionship of shareholders, partners, and the distribution system both domestically and internationally. The core is the dedicated contribution of generations of officials, workers, and employees of DRC.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh highly appreciated the role and important contributions of DRC to the socio-economic development of Da Nang city, especially in creating stable jobs, contributing to the budget, and well-performing social responsibility. Da Nang city affirmed that it will continue to accompany the Company in the next development stage.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phung Quang Hiep, Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam National Chemical Group affirmed that since the early days of taking over the retreading workshop under extremely difficult conditions, the collective of officials and employees of Da Nang Rubber has always clearly demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, the will to overcome difficulties, and the aspiration to persistently rise. On the 50-year foundation created, he requested the Company to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity as an important internal resource;

simultaneously promote technological innovation, improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness of products, developing in a green and sustainable direction. The Vietnam National Chemical Group will continue to accompany and create favorable conditions for DRC to fully promote its strengths in the coming period.

Going through 50 years of construction and maturity, Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company has affirmed its mettle through the foundation of solidarity, innovation, and green, sustainable development orientation. On the journey ahead, the aspiration for development continues to be the motivation for DRC to maintain and improve its position as Vietnam's leading tire brand, worthy of being a typical unit of the Vietnam National Chemical Group, contributing to improving the country's industrial production capacity.
