After two days of competition at the Can Tho City Multi-Purpose Sports Arena, the 2026 Southern Region Employee Sports Festival of the Vietnam National Chemical Group concluded, wrapping up two vibrant days for staff, union members, and workers from units across the region.

This year’s festival brought together nearly 400 athletes from 12 units, competing in five sports—football, soft volleyball, pickleball, badminton, and table tennis—across 20 events. Throughout the festival, matches were held continuously, with many finals fiercely contested, drawing large crowds of staff, workers, and supporters.

At the closing ceremony, the Organising Committee presented awards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

First place overall went to the team from LIX Detergent JSC, with 2 championship cups, 9 gold medals, 7 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals.

Second place overall went to the team from Da Nang Rubber JSC, with 6 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals.

Third place overall went to Binh Dien Fertilizer JSC, with 2 gold medals and 7 bronze medals.

The Organising Committee also awarded 2 championship cups (football and soft volleyball) and 64 sets of medals to athletes and teams for their achievements in the festival’s 20 competition events.

Beyond the sporting results, the festival was an opportunity for staff, union members, and workers from different units to meet, interact, and strengthen bonds. On the pitch, competitions were intense; in the stands, colleagues and family provided enthusiastic support, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the event.

As the festival concluded, the teams returned to their units with achievements and fond memories of two days of exchange and competition. The festival continues to promote physical fitness among Vinachem’s workforce and spreads the spirit of “SPORT – SOLIDARITY – HONESTY – NOBILITY – PROGRESS”.
