On the morning of 4th September 2026, Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held a working session with Seoul Chemical Co., Ltd. to discuss opportunities for commercial cooperation and expanding the distribution of Vinachem’s member companies’ products in the Korean market. During the session, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding, outlining the directions for cooperation in the period ahead.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Seoul Chemical Co ltd. were Mr. Hong Ji Yoep - Chief Executive Officer; Mrs. Choi Eun Hyang – Manager; Mrs. Jin Feng Hua – Assistant Manager, ; and Mr. Lee Seon Hyuk - Associate. 

Representing Vinachem were Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director of the Group, representatives from specialist departments, and member units including Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertilizer and Chemical Limited Company, Ninh Binh Phosphate Fertilizer Joint Stock Company, Van Dien Fused Phosphate Joint Stock Company, and Ha Bac Fertilizer and Chemical Joint Stock Company.

Connecting Vinachem Products with the Korean Market

During the meeting, representatives from Vinachem’s member companies introduced Seoul Chemical to their production, business operations, supply capacity, core products, and import-export activities. Both sides focused on identifying product groups with potential for expanded distribution in Korea, clarifying market requirements, product standards, and supply capabilities.

IA representative of Seoul Chemical shared insights into the company’s experience in the import and export of chemical raw materials, its customer network in Korea, and its domestic and international logistics systems. On this basis, Seoul Chemical expressed its desire to work with Vinachem to identify and select products with strengths, quality, and competitiveness to gradually expand distribution in the Korean market.

Representatives from Ninh Binh Nitrogenous Fertilizer, Ninh Binh Phosphate Fertilizer, Van Dien Fused Phosphate, and Ha Bac Fertilizer and Chemical also held direct discussions with Seoul Chemical regarding products, supply capacity, and export orientation. Through these exchanges, both sides initially clarified product groups with cooperation potential and will continue to study the specific requirements of the market and customers.

The two sides also discussed the potential for developing two-way trade. Alongside efforts to introduce Vinachem’s products to the Korean market, Seoul Chemical expressed its intention to explore the introduction of certain strong Korean products into the Vietnamese market, in line with customer and market demand.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hong Ji Yoep, General Director of Seoul Chemical, stated that the company wishes to establish a long-term partnership with Vinachem based on trust, mutual benefit, and a focus on tangible results.

According to Mr. Hong Ji Yoep, the signing of the Memorandum marks the beginning of future commercial activities between the two parties. Seoul Chemical will work closely with Vinachem to identify suitable products and connect Vinachem’s manufacturers with customers and partners in Korea.

In addition to chemical raw materials, Seoul Chemical will continue to explore industrial products, environmentally friendly products, and product groups suited to the needs of the Vietnamese market, thereby gradually expanding trade activities between the two sides.

Towards Substantive and Effective Cooperation

In his address, Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, Deputy General Director of Vinachem, emphasised that expanding export markets, seeking additional partners, and developing international distribution channels are of great significance for the Group’s member units.

According to Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện, cooperation with Seoul Chemical will provide an additional channel for Vinachem’s manufacturing units to introduce their products, access Korean customers, and seek opportunities to expand exports. Engaging with the partner will also enable the units to better understand market needs, standards, and requirements, allowing them to proactively develop suitable product and supply solutions.

The Deputy General Director of Vinachem emphasised that the signing of the Memorandum marks the starting point for future cooperation. The effectiveness of the partnership will be demonstrated through specific programmes, selected products, and actual transactions between the two sides. Vinachem is ready to work closely with Seoul Chemical to explore and implement suitable cooperation opportunities, leveraging the strengths of both parties.

As part of the programme, Vinachem and Seoul Chemical Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding, outlining the direction for long-term commercial cooperation between the two parties, with a focus on expanding the market in Korea and other suitable markets.

According to the Memorandum, both sides will explore cooperation in product groups including fertilisers, chemicals, detergents, rubber, tyres, and other industrial products. The agreement also facilitates opportunities for Vinachem’s member units to engage, negotiate, and implement specific transactions with Seoul Chemical.

The signing of the Memorandum provides a foundation for both parties to continue detailed discussions on products, market demand, standards, and supply capabilities; gradually selecting suitable products for collaborative implementation.

Through cooperation with Seoul Chemical, Vinachem’s member units gain an additional channel to connect with customers and partners in Korea, thereby expanding opportunities to introduce products, seek customers, and develop export activities in the future.
