On 9 July 2026, in the port city of Le Havre (France), Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held the closing ceremony for the training programme "Leadership and Innovation in the Green Growth Era" for its senior leadership team. The course not only marks an important step in Vinachem’s strategy to develop high-quality human resources, but also contributes to enhancing management capacity, promoting innovation, advancing the green transition, and deepening international integration.

Before the closing ceremony, the Vinachem delegation paid tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh at the Masquelier Campus in Sainte-Adresse, France—where a memorial plaque marks the place where he lived, worked, and campaigned in the early years of his journey for national liberation. In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, delegation members laid flowers and expressed deep gratitude for President Hồ Chí Minh’s immense contributions, reaffirming their commitment to patriotism, self-reliance, and dedication to the country’s development. This meaningful activity not only strengthens traditional education and national pride, but also inspires Vinachem’s leaders to continually innovate, improve management capacity, and embrace international integration.

Following this, the delegation attended the closing ceremony at EM Normandie Business School, with the participation of Mr. Pierre-Yves Lecorre, Secretary General of EM Normandie; professors and experts from the Academy of Public Administration and Management and EM Normandie.

Founded in 1871, EM Normandie is among the world’s leading business schools, in the top 1% with prestigious international accreditations. Vinachem’s collaboration with such a reputable institution reaffirms its commitment to investing in high-quality human resources as a vital foundation for competitiveness and sustainable development.

Throughout the course, participants engaged in a series of in-depth modules on innovation management in the era of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI); modern corporate governance for state-owned enterprises in accordance with OECD standards; strategy, innovation, and energy transition; the French cosmetics industry and the Cosmetic Valley innovation cluster model; ESG, circular economy, and sustainable value creation; global strategy and TotalEnergies’ transformation journey. These modules, taught by leading French and international professors and experts, provided up-to-date knowledge and practical experience in modern management, digital transformation, green transition, and sustainable development.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Vinachem General Director Nguyễn Hữu Tú, on behalf of the Group’s leadership, thanked EM Normandie, the Academy of Public Administration and Management, the Vietnamese Embassy in France, and all experts for successfully organising the training programme.

Praising the value of the course, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú stressed that the programme not only provided up-to-date knowledge of modern management, innovation, digital and green transformation, and industry development trends, but also gave the leadership team a broader perspective of shifts in the global business environment, thereby enhancing adaptability, innovative thinking, and leadership capacity amid growing competition.

The General Director affirmed: "To develop sustainably and integrate successfully, enterprises must invest not only in technology or financial resources, but first and foremost in people, in leadership capacity, and in a modern, transparent, and innovative management system." This is the guiding principle that Vinachem consistently pursues in building a modern chemical industry group, grounded in science, technology, innovation, digital and green transformation, and deep international integration.

The Group’s leadership also expressed hope that participants will apply the knowledge and experience gained to their work. The value of the course lies not only in the certificate of completion, but more importantly in the transformation of mindset, leadership methods, and management capacity. Each participant will become a catalyst for innovation, helping to build a learning culture and foster creativity and competitiveness throughout the Group.

Going forward, Vinachem wishes to continue expanding cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration and Management and EM Normandie in areas such as training, research, management consulting, expert exchange, and international networking. According to Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, such practical cooperation programmes will not only enhance Vinachem’s human resources, but also contribute positively to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.

In conclusion, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú emphasised: "For Vinachem, today is not the end of a course, but the start of a new journey—a journey of transforming knowledge into action, turning new thinking into management capacity, and making practical contributions to the development of the Group and Vietnam’s chemical industry."

The closing ceremony marked a successful end to a meaningful training programme for Vinachem’s human resources strategy. The knowledge, experience, and management thinking gained from the course will serve as a foundation for the leadership team to drive ongoing innovation, improve management effectiveness, and help realise Vinachem’s goal of becoming a modern, sustainably developed chemical industry group with high competitiveness, reaching regional and international stature.
