Vinachem General Director Meets with Partners from Turkey
On the morning of June 2, at the headquarters of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of the Group – chaired a meeting with partners from Turkey to discuss collaboration opportunities in raw material supply, logistics, market development, and investment in production.
Attending the meeting on Vinachem’s side were representatives from the Business Planning, Technical, and Communications & Development Departments, along with relevant specialists.

The Turkish delegation included Mr. Ali Tezolmez – Honorary Consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Istanbul (Turkey); Mr. Ayhan Bolat – Chairman of the Board of Belin Mining Inc.; Mr. Ahmet Korkut Nadir – representative of Knight Group; and other specialists.

At the meeting, Mr. Ali Tezolmez expressed his pleasure at connecting businesses from the two countries. As a bridge to promote economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Turkey, he affirmed his willingness to support enterprises from both countries in seeking cooperation and market development opportunities.
According to Mr. Tezolmez, Turkish businesses have invested about USD 1 billion in Vietnam, making Turkey the largest investor from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in Vietnam. Many Turkish enterprises and contractors are implementing projects totaling around USD 1.5 billion, including major infrastructure works such as the expansion of Tan Son Nhat International Airport. He also noted that a Consuls’ Conference will be held at the end of July to bring more Turkish enterprises to Vietnam in search of business and investment opportunities.
Introducing the attending business delegation, Mr. Tezolmez said Knight Group is one of Turkey’s oldest logistics and maritime transport companies, with decades of experience in international shipping and logistics. Knight has a global office network and extensive experience in transporting minerals and industrial raw materials such as phosphate, copper, zinc, lead, boric acid, and others.

The Knight representative stated that although this was their first direct meeting with Vinachem, the Vinachem brand has long been known among the Turkish mineral and chemical business community. With a broad client base in minerals, metals, and industrial raw materials, Knight seeks to strengthen cooperation with Vinachem in logistics, maritime transport, and supply chains for raw materials serving industrial production.

The Belin Mining Inc. representative also expressed his impression of Vinachem’s scale and development. With over 30 years of experience in mining, processing, and trading minerals, Belin Mining owns gold, silver, copper, and iron ore mines in Turkey and operates in Romania and the Balkans.
At the meeting, Belin Mining proposed cooperation in supplying high-quality phosphate ore to Vinachem from Jordan and Syria. The company has experience blending raw materials from various sources and can help optimize production costs, improve product quality, and enhance competitiveness for Vinachem’s fertilizer plants.
Additionally, the partner suggested exploring cooperation at fertilizer plants in Romania and expressed a desire to become Vinachem’s long-term strategic partner. Beyond raw material supply, Turkish enterprises also wish to distribute Vinachem’s products in Turkey and Eastern Europe.

In his remarks, Vinachem General Director Nguyễn Hữu Tú appreciated Mr. Ali Tezolmez’s efforts in connecting businesses from both countries and acknowledged the cooperative intentions and capabilities of the Turkish companies present.
The General Director noted Vinachem’s special interest in the proposed cooperation in phosphate material supply, as this is an important input for fertilizer production. He requested that the partner provide full technical specifications concerning P₂O₅ content, quality indicators, and heavy metal content in the ore so Vinachem’s technical units can study and evaluate.
“Currently, Vinachem’s demand for raw materials is very large. If technical, logistics, and commercial conditions are suitable, this will be a very promising cooperation opportunity for both sides,” emphasized General Director Nguyễn Hữu Tú.
Regarding the proposal for cooperation related to fertilizer plants in Romania, Vinachem’s leadership said this is a direction worth considering. With strengths in products like urea, DAP, superphosphate, and various fertilizers, Vinachem is interested in learning more about the production capacity, raw material needs, and development orientation of these plants to build suitable cooperation programs.
The General Director also appreciated the Turkish partners’ proposals to support market development and product distribution. As Vinachem is actively expanding international markets for fertilizers, tires, batteries, consumer chemicals, and detergents, the Turkish businesses’ market knowledge and relationships will be important advantages for exploring effective cooperation models.
Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú requested the Business Planning Department and relevant units to coordinate with partners for further technical discussions, supply and transport arrangements, and specific commercial terms. He also expressed hope that both sides will soon develop MOUs or principle agreements as a basis for implementing practical cooperation programs in the near future.
Concluding the meeting, the Vinachem General Director affirmed confidence in Mr. Ali Tezolmez’s connections and the goodwill of the Turkish enterprises. Immediately after the meeting, Vinachem will assign functional units to coordinate detailed discussions with the partners, promote agreed cooperation content, and work toward realizing potential opportunities.
The meeting took place in an open, sincere, and constructive atmosphere, opening up many prospects for collaboration between Vinachem and Turkish businesses in raw material supply, logistics, market development, production investment, and international trade. This is considered a positive start, helping to foster more practical, effective, and sustainable economic relations between Vietnamese and Turkish enterprises.
