Vinachem Works with the Department of Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion (MOIT) on Results of Implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW

On the morning of June 11, 2026, in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) had a working session with the Department of Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion (ĐCK – Ministry of Industry and Trade) to review and finalize the report on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. The session also served to clarify Vinachem’s proposals and recommendations for consolidation in the report to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant authorities.

Attending the meeting for Vinachem were Mr. Lê Hoàng – Deputy General Director, along with leaders and specialists from the Group’s Technical Department. On the side of the Department of Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion were Ms. Nguyễn Thị Lâm Giang – Director General, and other specialists.

At the session, Mr. Phùng Ngọc Bộ, Head of the Technical Department, reported on the implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW and Vinachem’s action programs in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation. The Group has issued a comprehensive set of mechanisms and policies to promote scientific research, technology innovation, and digital transformation, such as the Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Program for 2025–2030; the establishment of the Steering Committee for the Development of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation; the Comprehensive Digital Transformation Plan for 2026–2030; and various regulations for managing scientific and technological tasks, innovation funds, and technology management.

To date, 100% of Vinachem’s member units have developed programs and plans suited to their actual conditions. Dissemination of Resolution 57-NQ/TW is regularly carried out via the Group’s electronic portal, conferences, specialized seminars, and creative labor emulation campaigns across the system.

Reports at the meeting showed that Vinachem has achieved many positive results in research and development of strategic technological products. Notably, Southern Battery Joint Stock Company (PINACO) is developing sodium-ion batteries and battery energy storage systems (BESS), aiming for commercialization in 2026. This area is significant for the energy transition, contributing to national energy security and promoting green economic growth.

In high-tech chemicals, Vinachem’s member units are intensifying research and development of ultra-pure chemical products for the electronics, semiconductor, and high-tech industries. Many projects on producing ultra-pure phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and various industrial ultra-pure gases are underway, gradually joining the supply chain for Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.

Digital transformation efforts continue to accelerate and yield positive results. Many member companies have adopted digital solutions in management and production, invested in enterprise resource planning systems, product traceability, automation, and data management. After one year of operation, the VinachemMart e-commerce platform achieved over VND 51.5 billion in transaction revenue, with more than 52,000 registered accounts and nearly 26,000 successful orders, promoting digital transformation in the Group’s distribution system.

Additionally, Vinachem has developed and launched the Vinachem Agriculture platform—a digital knowledge ecosystem serving farmers—while implementing various data digitization solutions, AI virtual assistants, and smart agricultural production tools.

The Group also reported on its plan to invest in the Vinachem Science, Technology, and Innovation Center at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, with a total estimated investment of about VND 1,500 billion. The center will focus on research in key fields such as ultra-pure chemicals, pharmaceuticals, new materials, and technological solutions for the Group’s business activities.

During the meeting, both sides discussed and clarified Vinachem’s proposals regarding support mechanisms for new-generation battery development and energy storage systems; policies to promote the development of ultra-pure chemicals for the semiconductor and electronics industries; special mechanisms for investing in chemical and new material R&D centers; and solutions to foster the formation of a high-tech chemical industry value chain in Vietnam.

At the close of the session, the parties agreed to continue close coordination to finalize Vinachem’s performance evaluation report on Resolution 57-NQ/TW. Vinachem’s proposals and recommendations will be consolidated by the Department of Innovation, Green Transition, and Industrial Promotion for reporting to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant authorities, thereby facilitating the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology products for the chemical industry in the coming period.
