Vietnam National Chemical Group Holds Working Session with LX International Group

On the afternoon of January 26, 2026, in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held a working session with representatives of LX International Group (LXI) to exchange information, share development orientations, and promote potential cooperation opportunities in the coming period. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to enhance mutual understanding and explore cooperation directions aligned with each party’s sustainable development strategy in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration.



Representing Vinachem were Mr. Nguyen Van Luyen, Deputy General Director of the Group, together with leaders and representatives from the Planning and Business Division and the Technical Division. The LX International delegation was led by Mr. Cho Sung Ho, Head of the Materials Business Division, along with senior executives and representatives in charge of LXI’s operations in Vietnam, including Mr. Hong Young Joon, Head of Materials Business Team 1; Mr. Kim Kyung Mok, Materials Business Manager 1; Mr. Choi Woo Sik, General Director for Northern Vietnam; Mr. Jung Geon Young, Chief Representative of LXI in Ho Chi Minh City; and Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Senior Manager of the LXI Hanoi Office.

LX International is a global trading and investment group established in 1953 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, with strong operations in energy, resources, industrial commodities, and logistics. With extensive experience and a broad operational network across numerous countries and territories, LXI is regarded as a potential partner in market connectivity, supply chain development, and the implementation of international cooperation projects. In Vietnam, LXI is currently conducting various business activities through its subsidiaries, particularly in the steel, logistics, and energy sectors.

During the meeting, the two sides engaged in open and constructive discussions on future cooperation orientations. Vinachem and LX International agreed to coordinate in researching and preparing specific product lines, with the aim of gradually introducing Vinachem’s products and expanding their presence in markets such as India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other potential markets in the region. Both parties also shared information on market demand, technical standards, and logistics and supply chain requirements to ensure long-term and effective cooperation.

In addition, discussions covered potential cooperation in import–export activities and technology transfer in the field of high-purity chemicals for the semiconductor industry—an area experiencing growing demand amid the development of high-tech industries. Matters related to research, development, and application of energy storage battery technologies were also discussed, in line with the green transition and sustainable development orientations of both parties.

The working session demonstrated the interest and commitment of the Vietnam National Chemical Group and LX International Group to strengthening their cooperative relationship, with a view to effectively leveraging each side’s potential, jointly creating added value, and contributing positively to sustainable development in the coming period.
