On the afternoon of May 29, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) held a working session with Hateco Group regarding the supply of technical rubber products for the Lien Chieu container port project in Da Nang City.

Attending the meeting on Vinachem’s side were Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of the Group; Mr. Lê Hoàng Khánh Nhựt – General Director of Da Nang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC); and representatives from several specialized departments of the Group. Representing Hateco were Mr. Trần Văn Kỳ – Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with the Group's leaders and staff.

During the session, the two sides discussed the potential for cooperation in supplying technical rubber products for the Lien Chieu container port project – one of the key seaport infrastructure projects in the Central region. The project is planned on a large scale, aiming to become a modern logistics and seaport center for the area, enhancing cargo clearance capacity, promoting marine economic development, and connecting international supply chains.

Hateco Group is a multi-industry enterprise with a notable presence in logistics, infrastructure, and seaports. In recent years, Hateco has focused on investing in large-scale, modern seaport projects, including the Lien Chieu container port in Da Nang, which is expected to become a key trade gateway for the Central region and the East-West Economic Corridor.

At the meeting, Mr. Lê Hoàng Khánh Nhựt – General Director of DRC – presented the company’s production capacity, experience, and technical rubber product lines for the port, maritime, and heavy industry sectors. With over 50 years of tradition in the tire and rubber industry under Vinachem, DRC now owns a modern production system and a highly experienced technical team, meeting the stringent requirements of many major domestic and international infrastructure projects.

Notably, DRC has strengths in producing specialized technical rubber products for ports, such as fenders, rubber bearings, and other technical rubber components for piers and marine structures. These products are manufactured to high technical standards, ensuring durability, load capacity, and adaptability to the specific operational environments of seaports.

At the session, leaders from both sides highly valued the cooperation potential between Vinachem and Hateco in the near future. The use of domestically produced technical rubber products not only helps increase the localization rate at major infrastructure projects but also affirms the capability of Vietnamese industrial enterprises to participate in modern, large-scale projects.

The cooperation between the two parties is expected to make a practical contribution to achieving the double-digit growth target set by the Party, Government, and Ministry of Finance for Vinachem, while further confirming the role and quality of Vinachem’s products in contributing to the country’s infrastructure modernization and development.
