Fertilizer plant in Nuevitas (Cuba) expanding
The Revolución de Octubre fertilizer plant at Nuevitas is going through an $8.8 million expansion, funded by the ALBA trade and integration agreement, Prensa Latina reported.
The overhaul doubles the plant’s capacity to 200,000 tons of ammonium nitrate.
The project includes six new cooling towers, new air compressors, ammonium compression systems, chemical pumps, water pumps for boilers, and catalytic converters.
