Reference exchange rate going up on August 23
The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,250 VND/USD on August 23, up 3 VND from the previous session.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 25,463 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,038 VND/USD.
At major commercial banks, the opening hour rates went up.
At 8:20 am, Vietcombank listed the rates at 24,810 VND/USD (buying) and 25,105 VND/USD (selling), both up 40 VND from August 22.
BIDV raised both rates by 20 VND, listing at 24,785 VND/USD and 25,125 VND/USD, respectively./. – Source: Vietnam Plus –
