Binh Dien – Principal Sponsor of the “Sustainable Durian Ecosystem” Forum
On 16 August 2026, in Buon Ma Thuot City, the Forum on Production and Consumption Connectivity for Durian, themed “Sustainable Durian Ecosystem”, took place as part of the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026. The forum brought together representatives from regulatory agencies, businesses, cooperatives, and growers, focusing on discussions around production, consumption, and linkages within the durian industry.

Binh Dien Fertiliser Joint Stock Company was the principal sponsor of the event, also exhibiting and introducing plant nutrition solutions, and meeting with partners, cooperatives, and producers at the forum.
Binh Dien at the Industry Connectivity Forum
The forum was held at a time when the durian sector faces increasing demands regarding quality, traceability, plantation codes, packing facilities, and export market standards.
The Government Office issued Notice No. 421/TB-VPCP, summarising the conclusions of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung at a meeting on durian production, consumption, and export. Localities have been instructed to review and tightly manage durian planting areas, not expand acreage further, and focus on improving productivity, quality, and production efficiency, linking production with value chain partnerships and market needs.
These requirements were also addressed at the forum, along with issues concerning management of planting areas, packing facilities, traceability, product quality, and market connectivity.

As principal sponsor, Binh Dien was present at the event and participated in activities on the forum’s sidelines. A company representative received a bouquet and a commemorative token of appreciation from the organisers.
On the Ground with Producers
Within the durian production chain, plant nutrition is one of the key concerns for growers, particularly as demands for yield, quality, and cultivation efficiency continue to rise.
At the display area in front of the main hall, Binh Dien’s stand attracted many delegates and partners interested in plant nutrition solutions. Discussions focused on the care of durian trees and practical issues faced in production regions.

The event also provided an opportunity for Binh Dien to meet cooperatives, orchard owners, and enterprises engaged in the industry, to update itself on production needs and to strengthen exchanges with partners in Dak Lak.
Expanding Practical Partnerships
A notable feature of the event was the signing ceremony for memoranda of cooperation, investment, and value chain development for the sustainable durian sector in Dak Lak province.
According to the organisers, nine memoranda were exchanged at the forum, with a total value approaching VND 9,000 billion, covering infrastructure investment, cold storage, logistics, processing, traceability, raw material zone development, and product consumption.

These agreements create additional opportunities for cooperation between businesses, cooperatives, and producers, and reflect the growing need for linkages in the durian industry.
For Binh Dien, participation in the forum was a chance to broaden relationships within the value chain, listen to the needs of production regions, and introduce plant nutrition solutions tailored to on-the-ground conditions.
From its role as principal sponsor to its exhibition, meetings, and exchanges at the event, Binh Dien continues to play an active part in connecting the durian industry, aligning its products and plant nutrition solutions with the real needs of producers.
