Exactly half a century ago, on April 19, 1976, The Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (CASUMINA) was officially established. Over 50 years of construction and development, from the early days managing small production facilities, CASUMINA has continuously risen to become one of the leading enterprises in Vietnam’s rubber industry and a core member making significant contributions to the overall development of Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem).

A 50-Year Journey – Marked by Resilience and Contribution

Looking back on five decades, it has been a journey of perseverance, innovation, and relentless dedication by generations of officers and employees. Starting from the first tire and tube products, produced to meet domestic demand during difficult times, CASUMINA has now built a diverse product ecosystem, gradually conquering international markets.

Not only has CASUMINA affirmed its own position, but it is also an important link in Vinachem’s value chain, contributing to the advancement of industrial production capacity, boosting domestic rubber product consumption, creating stable jobs for workers, and making positive contributions to the state budget. CASUMINA’s sustainable development is a part of the overall growth picture of the Group—a convergence of the strengths of all member units striving towards the goal of building a modern, integrated, and efficient Vietnamese chemical industry.

The 50-year milestone is therefore measured not only by growth figures, but also by the solidarity, responsibility, and pride of all those who have contributed to building CASUMINA, while also supporting Vinachem’s overall journey of development.

In the spirit of celebration, CASUMINA’s energy is spreading powerfully throughout the organization, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere and encouraging production activities across the Group.

A series of meaningful and practical celebratory events have taken place. Notably, the “Casumina – Outstanding Run” virtual race not only spreads the spirit of physical health training but also carries deep humanitarian value.

In addition, the “CASUMINA Memories – 50 Years of Formation and Development” contest and the “Beauty of Casumina Workers” photo contest have become venues to preserve stories and moments—ordinary yet filled with pride—of the company’s workforce.

Especially, the CASUMINA 2026 Sports Festival, held in Ho Chi Minh City, became a highlight, attracting a large number of officers and employees to participate with the spirit of “Sustainable Connection – Breakthrough to the Future.”

These activities not only create a healthy playground and improve the employees’ quality of life but also contribute to strengthening corporate culture and internal cohesion—foundational elements that help both CASUMINA and Vinachem achieve sustainable long-term growth.
