India president wants to beef up ties with Vietnam
President Patil made the statement during a reception given to thenewly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to India, Nguyen Thanh Tan,following the presentation of his credentials on Sept. 29.
The president said she believed that the ambassador, who had onceworked in India , would make the best of his experiences to furtherdevelop the relationship between the two nations.
Tan pledged to do his utmost to step up the bilateral strategicpartnership and requested the Indian government to create favourableconditions for him to accomplish his tasks./.
