To prevent counterfeiting and poor-quality products and to improve management efficiency, Binh Dien Fertiliser Joint Stock Company has implemented the initiative “Application of RFID/QR Code in the Traceability Management of Fertiliser Products”.

This initiative marks a significant advance in technology application, as each product bag is fitted with an RFID chip and a unique QR code directly on the production line at Binh Dien Long An Fertiliser Plant. A key feature of the solution is its API connectivity, synchronising data in real time with the company’s ERP (FAST) and CRM (MISA) management systems. Integrating these systems creates a closed, transparent data chain from production and warehousing through to delivery to the end consumer.

The solution delivers practical benefits for protecting the Dau Trau Fertiliser brand on the market. Moreover, the RFID chip’s mass data recognition capability automates the warehousing process, shortens handling times, reduces operating costs, and minimises errors associated with manual stocktaking.

Notably, automating warehouse processes combined with traceability enables consumers to easily verify genuine products simply by scanning the code. This enhances transparency and reinforces the confidence of dealers and farmers in selecting and using the products.

Initial success at the Binh Dien Long An Fertiliser Plant demonstrates the effectiveness of technology application in production and supply chain management. With its flexibility and high integration capability, this model can be further studied and replicated at other fertiliser production units within the Vietnam National Chemical Group, contributing to the modernisation of management and product traceability across the fertiliser industry.
