On the morning of December 29, 2025, in Hanoi, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group held a conference to review work in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026. The conference was organized in accordance with the annual work program of the Executive Committee of the Group’s Party Committee and Plan No. 539-KH/ĐU dated December 8, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Group’s Party Committee.

Attending and directing the conference was Comrade Nguyễn Đức Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee. Participants included representatives of the leadership of the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance, the Central Inspection Commission, the Central Internal Affairs Commission, and advisory and assisting bodies of the Government Party Committee and the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance.

On the side of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group were Comrade Phùng Quang Hiệp, Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Members’ Council of the Group; Comrade Nguyễn Hữu Tú, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Members’ Council and General Director of the Group; Comrade Nguyễn Văn Quý, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee; along with members of the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee, and the Inspection Committee of the Group’s Party Committee; leaders of the Members’ Council, the Board of General Directors, and Controllers; secretaries and deputy secretaries of subordinate party cells and party committees; leaders of professional departments and political–social organizations within the Group.

Party-building work and implementation of tasks in 2025

At the conference, Comrade Nguyễn Văn Quý, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Group’s Party Committee, presented the Report on the review of Party-building work in 2025 and directions and tasks for 2026.

In 2025, amid numerous difficulties and challenges in the global and domestic economic situation, under the close leadership and direction of the Government and central ministries and agencies, especially the Government Party Committee and the Ministry of Finance, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group focused on leading and directing the synchronous implementation of political tasks and Party-building work, thereby achieving many positive results.

Party-building work was implemented comprehensively across all aspects, contributing to the consolidation of grassroots party organizations, improvement of the quality of cadres and party members, and enhancement of the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations throughout the Group. The Group’s Party Committee led and directed the successful organization of party congresses at all levels and the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group for the 2025–2030 term, ensuring compliance with principles, procedures, and schedules as directed by the Central authorities.

In leading the implementation of production and business tasks, despite facing many difficulties and challenges, the Group’s key indicators such as industrial production value, revenue, and profit in 2025 all reached and exceeded those of the same period. Notably, the Parent Company – the Group – resolved accumulated losses completely, finishing six months ahead of schedule. Many member units were proactive and flexible in management, promptly adapting to market fluctuations, ensuring employment and stable income for workers.

Inspection and supervision work was strengthened and implemented seriously and comprehensively, contributing to maintaining Party discipline and order and enhancing the effectiveness of leadership and direction by Party committees at all levels within the Group.

Directions and key tasks for 2026

The year 2026 is of particularly important significance—it is the first year of implementing the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; at the same time, it continues the implementation of policies on streamlining the organizational apparatus and economic growth targets in accordance with the conclusions of the Central authorities.

Based on a comprehensive assessment of achieved results, clearly identifying existing shortcomings and limitations as well as lessons learned, the Group’s Party Committee focused on discussion, analysis, and forecasting of the context and new development trends affecting production and business activities; thereby clearly identifying key tasks and major solutions, and requiring Party committees at all levels to focus on leadership and direction for decisive implementation from the very first days and months of 2026.

Directive opinions of the Government Party Committee

Delivering a directive speech at the conference, Comrade Nguyễn Đức Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee, highly appreciated the Party-building work of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group for being carried out in a methodical and serious manner, closely linked to practice; and acknowledged and commended the efforts and determination of the collective leadership, cadres, party members, and workers of the Group in overcoming difficulties, successfully fulfilling assigned political tasks, and making positive contributions to the development of the chemical industry and the national economy.

He affirmed that work in cadre organization, internal political protection, training, cadre planning, prevention and control of corruption and negativity, and Party member development was implemented seriously by the Group’s Party Committee in accordance with regulations of the Central authorities and the Politburo, contributing significantly to the success of the Group’s Party Congress and the 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

Assessing the results of production and business tasks in 2025, Comrade Nguyễn Đức Phong noted that many of the Group’s indicators met and exceeded the set plans, with consolidated revenue estimated at VND 64,916 billion, consolidated profit estimated at VND 3,838 billion, and average income of workers reaching VND 16.65 million per person per month.

Alongside the achieved results, he requested that the Group’s Party Committee continue to focus on leadership and direction to comprehensively assess existing shortcomings and limitations, clearly analyze causes, and propose effective remedial solutions; at the same time expressing confidence that, with high political determination and unity throughout the Party Committee, the Vietnam National Chemical Group will successfully accomplish tasks in 2026 and the years to come.

Conclusion of the conference

In concluding remarks, Comrade Phùng Quang Hiệp, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Members’ Council of the Group, respectfully thanked and seriously received the directive opinions of the Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee; at the same time requesting Party committees and Party organizations throughout the Group to focus on synchronously implementing key tasks for 2026, with particular emphasis on Party-building work, organizational restructuring, leading the effective implementation of production and business plans, and ensuring employment and income for workers.

He emphasized that the results achieved in 2025 were the crystallization of the spirit of unity, discipline, innovation, and creativity of all cadres, party members, and workers; and required each Party committee and leader to continue enhancing political responsibility, linking the sustainable development of the Group with social responsibility and assigned political tasks.

At the conference, the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Chemical Group presented Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the implementation of tasks in 2025 and over a continuous five-year period.
