Appointment of Director of the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry
On June 19, 2026, the General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group signed Decision No. 348/QĐ-HCVN appointing Mr. Dương Mạnh Tiến, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry, as Director of the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry. The decision takes effect from July 1, 2026, and the appointment term is five years.
Mr. Dương Mạnh Tiến (born 1971, from Dan Thuong commune, Phu Tho province) holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, is a Senior Researcher, and has advanced-level political theory training. With over 30 years of experience in chemical research, technology development, and scientific management, he has made significant contributions to the development of the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry and the Vietnamese chemical industry.
Mr. Dương Mạnh Tiến is a well-trained professional with high expertise and many years of dedication to scientific research and management in industrial chemistry. Before this appointment, he served as Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the Institute, directly leading many research tasks, technology transfers, technical consulting, and scientific cooperation to support the development of the Vietnamese chemical industry.
Throughout his career, he has held various professional and managerial positions at the Institute, accumulating experience in administration, developing science and technology strategies, implementing national, ministerial, and group-level research projects; and actively promoting innovation, applying research results to production, and enhancing the scientific and technological capacity of the unit.
The appointment of Mr. Dương Mạnh Tiến as Director of the Vietnam Institute of Industrial Chemistry reflects the trust of the Vietnam National Chemical Group’s leadership in his abilities, character, and experience. It is also an important foundation for the Institute to continue its role as a leading scientific research and technology transfer unit in industrial chemistry, promote applied research and innovation, and make positive contributions to sustainable development, green transformation, and improved competitiveness of Vietnam’s chemical industry in the new era.
