Translated by Bảo Hiền02:48 PM @ Monday - 23 February, 2026
In the joyful atmosphere of the early days of the Lunar New Year Binh Ngo 2026, on the afternoon of February 23, 2026, Comrade Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister, visited, met with, and extended New Year greetings to the leadership, officers, and employees of Vietnam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM).

The delegation was welcomed by Comrade Phung Quang Hiep, Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Chairman of the Members’ Council; Comrade Nguyen Huu Tu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Members’ Council, and General Director; together with members of the Standing Board of the Party Committee, the Members’ Council, the Board of General Directors, and leaders of the Group’s functional departments and Office.

In his remarks at the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his pleasure at visiting the Group on its very first working day of the new year. He emphasized that 2026 is also the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the socio-economic development plan for the 2026–2030 period. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding achievements the Group attained in 2025, affirming that Vinachem continues to play a core and leading role in the chemical industry.
In particular, the Group’s active and effective participation in major trade promotion events such as the Autumn Fair and the Spring Fair clearly demonstrated its proactive and innovative spirit, as well as its determination to capture the domestic market, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen the brand of Vietnam’s chemical products.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that in the coming period, the Group should build upon its solid foundation, carry out its tasks with a renewed mindset and strong determination, and join the whole country in striving for double-digit growth. This effort aims toward the goal of becoming a modern industrialized country with upper-middle income status by 2030 and a developed nation by 2045.
In addition to maintaining its domestic market position, Vinachem should further promote international cooperation, expand markets, and gradually reach regional and global markets. At the same time, it should focus on implementing key projects, including the potash salt mining project in the Lao People's Democratic Republic, bringing it into operation soon to help secure raw materials for production, contribute to economic growth, and strengthen Vietnam–Laos cooperation.
On the occasion of the New Year, the Deputy Prime Minister extended his wishes for health, happiness, solidarity, and determination to the Group’s leadership and employees, encouraging them to continue building Vietnam National Chemical Group into a sustainably developing enterprise worthy of its pioneering and leading role in the chemical industry and its contributions to national development.
Responding to the attention and sentiments of the Government leaders, Comrade Phung Quang Hiep expressed his joy, emotion, and honor as the Group’s leadership and employees welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister’s visit, encouragement, and New Year greetings on the very first working day of the year. He affirmed that this was a particularly meaningful event, reinforcing confidence and momentum for the Group to strive to successfully fulfill its assigned political tasks in 2026.

He further emphasized that the Deputy Prime Minister’s profound guidance at the 2025 year-end review conference—especially the six golden words “Core – Leading – Pioneering”—is being concretized in the Group’s development strategy to affirm the chemical industry’s pillar role, lead the market, and pioneer innovation, green transition, and digital transformation.
Reporting to the Deputy Prime Minister, Comrade Phung Quang Hiep stated that many units within the Group maintained production throughout the Tet holiday or resumed operations immediately in the first days of the new year, ensuring absolute safety for personnel and operations. In 2025, the average monthly income of nearly 20,000 employees reached approximately VND 18 million. For the 2026 Lunar New Year, the average total income, salary, and bonuses amounted to nearly VND 40 million per person, contributing to improved employee welfare and enhanced motivation.
During the first two months of 2026, all production and business indicators of the Group recorded growth of over 15%, with several units achieving record production and sales volumes. Notably, after nine years of sustained effort, in 2025 the Group officially eliminated all accumulated losses, creating a solid foundation for a new phase of development.
He also affirmed the Group’s strong determination to implement the potash salt mining project in Laos in line with the Government’s direction, viewing it not only as an economic project but also as a mission and a matter of honor for Vietnam’s chemical industry. On the occasion of the early Spring, he sincerely expressed gratitude for the continued attention and support of the Government, ministries, and central agencies, and extended New Year wishes of health, happiness, and success to the Deputy Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation.
