Vinachem strengthens international cooperation, expands opportunities in cosmetics and personal care, and enhances energy efficiency
On 16 October 2026 in France, a delegation from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) led by General Director Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú visited and worked with the FAREVA Group at its FAREVA Poissy facility. On the same day in Paris, Vinachem signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions France. These activities aimed to strengthen connections with international partners, explore advanced technologies, and investigate cooperation opportunities in line with the Group’s development strategy and that of its member units.
Working with FAREVA: Exploring Cosmetics and Personal Care Production Technology
On the morning of 16 October, Vinachem’s delegation visited the FAREVA Poissy facility in France. The delegation included Mr. Cao Thành Tín, General Director of Lix Joint Stock Company (LIXCO); Mr. Lê Đình Vỹ and Mr. Hà Phước Dư, Deputy General Directors; and a core team of R&D and market development experts from LIXCO.

FAREVA is an international group operating as a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), focusing on cosmetics, home care, and pharmaceuticals. The FAREVA Poissy site specialises in the production of perfumes and alcohol-based products.
In 2025, FAREVA achieved a turnover of €2.1 billion, with 42 production facilities in 13 countries, 16 R&D and innovation centres, and over 13,000 employees. Its global production and research network meets international quality and management standards, including FDA, ECOCERT, and ISO certifications.
During the visit, Vinachem’s delegation explored production organisation models, R&D capabilities, manufacturing technology, and automation at FAREVA. These insights will inform Vinachem’s evaluation of international cooperation opportunities in the cosmetics and personal care sector.

For LIXCO, this study visit to FAREVA comes as the company accelerates development and expansion into cosmetics and personal care. The visit provided Vinachem with a foundation for evaluating technological models, production organisation, and R&D capacity, supporting the assessment of appropriate collaboration to enable LIXCO to access international technology and expertise and enhance its R&D capability.
This activity reflects Vinachem’s strategy to deepen international cooperation, proactively learn from scientific and technological advances and advanced production models, and support member units in selecting solutions suited to their circumstances and development direction.
Vinachem and Air Liquide Sign Memorandum of Understanding
In the afternoon of 16 October in Paris, Vinachem and Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions France signed an MoU, establishing a framework for cooperation in research, evaluation, and the promotion of partnership opportunities in chemical industry, industrial gases, energy efficiency, and energy transition.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, General Director of Vinachem, and his delegation. Air Liquide was represented by Mr. Erik Mota Calvosa, Regional Managing Director for Southeast Asia, and Mrs. Hải Châu Cournède, Energy Market Manager, Large Industries – Global Business Line.
The MoU provides for increased information exchange, experience sharing, cooperation evaluation, and research into solutions to improve energy efficiency, operational reliability, industrial safety, and efficiency in areas of mutual interest.

A key focus is on researching solutions to enhance energy efficiency and reliability in fertiliser plant production processes. Both parties will consider renovation and upgrading of existing air separation units (ASUs) and assess the feasibility of implementing argon recovery.

Beyond fertilisers, the two sides intend to expand cooperation in the application of industrial gases in electronics and battery sectors, including material processing technology, mineral extraction and processing, battery production and recycling, and related value chains.
Vinachem and Air Liquide will also exchange experience and technology solutions related to hydrogen, ammonia, low-carbon hydrogen, and renewable hydrogen, aiming at applications for emission reduction in industry and the development of energy value chains.
To implement the cooperation, the two sides plan to organise technical workshops, initially focusing on priority issues at Vinachem’s fertiliser production facilities. Further activities may include technical data exchange, site surveys, technical evaluations, pre-feasibility studies, and other professional activities as appropriate.

They will also consider organising visits and technical exchanges at Air Liquide’s relevant R&D facilities in France, as well as its industrial-scale ammonia cracking and hydrogen facilities in Antwerp-Bruges, Belgium.
Specific activities and projects will be considered on the basis of comprehensive technical, commercial, legal, and financial evaluation, together with the necessary approvals and separate written agreements.
Strengthening International Links to Support the Group’s Development Strategy
The visit to FAREVA and the signing of the MoU with Air Liquide in France demonstrate Vinachem’s proactive approach to expanding international partnerships, learning about advanced technologies, and exploring cooperation opportunities aligned with the Group’s strategic direction.
In cosmetics and personal care, the FAREVA visit provided Vinachem and LIXCO with insight into a partner’s R&D, product development, technology, and production organisation. This enables further study and evaluation of collaboration, supporting LIXCO’s access to international technology and expertise and the development of its personal care business.
In the chemical and energy sectors, the MoU with Air Liquide establishes a framework for further exchange and research into solutions for operational efficiency, energy use, and the adoption of technologies for energy transition.
Through strengthening links with international partners, Vinachem aims to identify appropriate technological solutions, support member units in enhancing production capacity, product quality, and competitiveness, and contribute to the Group’s sustainable development objectives in the coming period.
