LME Copper prices jump to $7738/ ton
LONDON (Commodity Online): London Metal Exchange (LME) base metal prices continued positive trend on Monday.
LME Copper extended gains on Monday, supported by a move towards riskier assets after surveys showing Greece's pro-bailout camps leading opinion polls helped calm fears of a disorderly exit from the euro bloc that could hit demand for industrial metals.
Lead prices dipped by 0.59% to $1933 per metric ton on Monday.
LME Price Highlights:
--Aluminium alloy rose 0.31% to $1886 a metric tons
--Aluminium gained 0.05% to $1980 per metric ton
--Copper gained 0.55% to $7738 a metric ton
--Lead dipped 0.59% to $1933 per metric ton
--Nickel remain unchanged at $16975 a metric ton
--Tin gained 0.25% to $19850 per metric ton
--Zinc advanced 0.42% to $1900 a metric ton
--Steel advanced 3.89% to $400 per metric ton
