Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee Visits and Works with DRC

05:30 PM @ Sunday - 04 October, 2026

On the morning of 4 October 2026, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang, Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, together with leaders of city departments and agencies, visited and held discussions with Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company (DRC), addressing the company's production and business situation, current difficulties and challenges, and future development orientation.

Present at the meeting on behalf of the Vietnam National Chemical Group was Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of the Group. Representing DRC was Mr. Lê Hoàng Khánh Nhựt – Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of the Company, along with members of the Executive Board and representatives of relevant departments.

Maintaining Production and Expanding Markets

At the meeting, Mr. Lê Hoàng Khánh Nhựt presented an overview of the company’s business operations and development plans. As a major industrial manufacturer in Da Nang, DRC currently provides employment for nearly 1,800 workers; its products are sold both domestically and exported to over 50 countries and territories.

In 2025, the company’s revenue reached VND 5,174 billion, an increase of 3% compared to 2024, with profits at VND 150 billion.

In 2026, DRC is focusing on expanding the production of PCR/LTR tyres and all-steel radial tyres, as well as researching and developing new products for the Ministry of Defence, deep-water ports, the railway sector, and infrastructure projects. The company is targeting growth of nearly 20% over 2025.

However, DRC’s production and business activities are being affected by complex geopolitical developments, rising raw material costs, supplier payment conditions, and a reduction in customer orders. To address these challenges, the company is implementing measures to maintain production, stabilise the market, and strive for business results equivalent to those of 2025.

Alongside product development, DRC is prioritising the expansion of domestic and international markets, the promotion of scientific and technological research, innovation, green production, and the exploration of new investment projects as key directions for the future.

DRC in the Group’s Development Strategy

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, General Director of the Vietnam National Chemical Group, emphasised the importance of maintaining stable business operations, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting DRC’s development plans in the upcoming period.

According to Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú, DRC is one of the key units within the Vietnam National Chemical Group’s manufacturing network. Maintaining and developing DRC’s operations not only matters for the Group’s overall strategy but also contributes to industrial production capacity, employment, and the socio-economic development of Da Nang.

In light of current market difficulties and challenges, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú expressed his hope that Da Nang City would continue to support the Group and the company in overcoming obstacles, assisting with market access, and facilitating investment and production expansion. This will enable DRC to further strengthen its capacity, improve performance, enhance competitiveness, and achieve sustainable growth.

City Support for Enterprise Development

In his closing remarks, Chairman of Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, acknowledged DRC’s contributions to the city’s socio-economic development and noted the company’s considerable potential for market expansion, particularly in exports.

The Chairman urged DRC to continue focusing on developing the domestic market, intensifying product promotion and marketing, and taking full advantage of market linkage and trade promotion programmes. The company should also proactively adapt to market changes and leverage the advantages of its long-standing industrial brand.

For the long term, the city has directed DRC to develop along green lines, meeting increasingly stringent environmental and green production standards. This is considered vital for the company to improve access to capital, technology, expand markets, and deepen its participation in supply chains.

The city will support DRC in identifying and connecting with new projects, promoting its brand, boosting exports, and connecting with major partners and enterprises. In addition, the city will strengthen links between DRC and automotive assembly projects and the local supporting industries ecosystem; build a network connecting businesses with universities, research institutes, and training centres to meet human resource needs.

For issues relating to land, environment, investment locations, and project procedures, the Chairman directed the relevant agencies to review, address, and create favourable conditions for the company to implement its projects as planned.

The support and attention of the city’s leadership is an encouragement for DRC’s staff and workforce, enabling the company to proactively respond to market difficulties, expand production and investment, and improve operational performance.

With over half a century of development and the ongoing support of Da Nang City and the Vietnam National Chemical Group, DRC continues to aim for stronger competitiveness, market expansion, new product development, and a gradual shift towards green production, thereby making positive contributions to the chemical industry and the socio-economic development of Da Nang.
