LME Copper prices gain as Euro zone worries ease
LONDON (Commodity Online): London Metal Exchange base metal prices showed a positive trend on Thursday.
LME copper advanced by 0.86% to $8180 a metric ton on as risk appetite improved and the euro strengthened after a European Central Bank official suggested the bank was ready to purchase more debt, easing some worries about a debt crisis affecting the Euro zone.
LME Price Highlights:
--Aluminium alloy advanced 0.2% to $1950 a metric ton
--Aluminium advanced 1.64% to $2069 per metric ton
--Copper gained 0.86% to $8180 a metric ton
--Lead gained 3.09% to $2080.50 per metric ton
--Nickel advanced 1.64% to $ 18195 a metric ton
--Tin remain unchanged at $22800 per metric ton
--Zinc gained 1.78% to $ 2020.50 a metric ton
--Steel gained 0.61% to $493 per metric ton
