In the context of Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) accelerating international cooperation, technology transfer, and the development of green chemical projects, the Group’s leadership business trip to the Vietnam-UK Economic High-Level Conference, within the framework of the official visit to the United Kingdom by Mr. Tô Lâm, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, has opened up numerous new cooperation opportunities with world-leading partners in the chemical and consumer goods industries.

On the afternoon of October 28, 2025, in London (United Kingdom), Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of Vietnam National Chemical Group (VINACHEM) held a working session with Mr. Jean-Baptiste Maubert – CEO of Robertet UK, part of the Robertet Group (established in 1850) – one of the world's leading companies with over 175 years of experience in essential oils, natural extracts, and high-quality flavor and fragrance serving the consumer goods, cosmetics, and food sectors.

The VINACHEM delegation was also joined by the leaders of LIX Detergent Joint Stock Company and DAP – VINACHEM Joint Stock Company, which are member units with great potential in the production of consumer goods and basic chemicals, and are oriented towards green technology development, environmental friendliness, and deep integration into the global value chain.

During the working session, the two sides discussed the potential for cooperation in research, development, and application of flavors, fragrances, and natural essential oils in VINACHEM's detergents, home care, and industrial products. They also discussed access to Robertet's and the world's newest and most advanced technologies and products, as well as solutions to optimize the raw material supply chain and strengthen VINACHEM's export market expansion to the UK and Europe in the coming time.

Speaking at the session, General Director Nguyễn Hữu Tú affirmed: "VINACHEM is decisively implementing a green transformation strategy, technological innovation, and the development of environmentally friendly products. Cooperation with Robertet – a group with an advanced technological foundation and long-standing experience in natural product development – will be a vital opportunity for VINACHEM to enhance competitiveness, create added value, and expand the international market."

The partner's representative, Mr. Jean-Baptiste Maubert, highly appreciated VINACHEM's production capacity, extensive business network, and sustainable development orientation. He also expressed the desire to build a long-term strategic cooperation relationship in the fields of flavors, green chemicals, and environmentally friendly consumer product technology. Additionally, Robertet will support VINACHEM in seeking and participating in the global supply chain for pure chemicals and advanced chemicals serving the electronics and semiconductor industries.

On this basis, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC). According to the agreement, VINACHEM and Robertet will comprehensively cooperate in product research and development, green technology transfer, carbon emission reduction, and international market expansion, aiming for sustainable development and elevating the Vietnamese brand on the international stage.

At the conclusion of the working session, the VINACHEM delegation, along with the leaders of  LIXCO and DAP-VINACHEM, directly visited Robertet's research facility in the United Kingdom – a location that has produced thousands of new flavoring and fragrance products over the past decades.
