The Horasis Asia Meeting 2019 was opened in the southern province of Binh Duong on November 25, attracting more than 1,000 senior executives of large groups from 60 countries and territories worldwide to discuss special issues such as the global and regional economy and new trends in technology development.
The two-day event will include four plenary sessions and 35 dialogue sessions, news site Vietnamplus reported.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, themed “the growing dynamism of Vietnam,” Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue said the meeting is a good opportunity to promote the image of Binh Duong and Vietnam as a whole to the world.
Moreover, enterprises participating in the event can seek investment opportunities in Binh Duong.
Deputy PM Hue asked Binh Duong to improve its business environment, develop high-skilled human resources to meet the demands of the fourth industrial revolution and develop the economy while protecting the environment.
Economic development must be handled in a fast and sustainable manner, Hue stated, noting that the breakthrough development of Binh Duong would contribute to the growth of the southern economic zone and the whole country.
The deputy prime minister confirmed that the Government will create favorable conditions for investors to do business in the province and across Vietnam.
Binh Duong Chairman Tran Thanh Liem noted that the Horasis Asia Meeting 2019 is an important international event for the province, attracting many international experts, administrators, investors and senior leaders of enterprises in various sectors.
The province expects to work out strategic solutions to use its resources more effectively, boosting its economic growth and international integration, serving its industrialization and modernization processes, developing Binh Duong into a smart city and improving the living standards of local residents.
The Horasis Asia Meeting 2019 will help State management agencies and enterprises in the province share experiences and stay updated on new development models in the world, Liem remarked. - Source: SGT-
