The 19th Vietnam International Plastics and Rubber Industry Exhibition, or VietnamPlas 2019, was inaugurated at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in HCMC’s District 7 today, October 3, showcasing modern equipment and machines as well as plastic beads, PVC additives and polymer solutions.
The organizer noted that through 18 editions of the exhibition, VietnamPlas is considered the most important trade event in the plastics and rubber industry in Vietnam.
Leading suppliers and manufacturers of machines and equipment for the plastics sector displayed various smart production solutions and technologies for sustainable development, VietnamPlus news site reported.
The exhibition attracted over 520 exhibitors from various countries and territories such as Austria, Belgium, China, Hong Kong, India, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Thailand and Vietnam.
VietnamPlas is expected to offer enterprises wishing to do business in the Southeast Asian region the opportunity to seek advanced machines, technology and solutions.
Ho Duc Lam, chairman of the Vietnam Plastics Association, said that VietnamPlas has firmly consolidated its position and increased its attractiveness to firms active in the plastics industry in the local and international markets.
Vietnam’s plastics sector boasts multiple opportunities for exports, mainly to the United States, Lam said.
Apart from exhibiting and introducing equipment and technology for the plastics and rubber industry, VietnamPlas 2019, which wraps up on October 6, will feature a host of in-depth workshops aimed at helping experts and enterprises stay updated on and share information.
In addition, the event, co-held by the Vietnam National Trade Fair & Advertising Company, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service Co., Ltd, and the Vietnam Plastics Association, will allow local and international firms to seize cooperation opportunities. - SGT-
